The Bright Learning podcast
An independent show of 1:1 conversations with the people making AI decisions in K-12 schools. Hosted by Sam Naji. Founding season recording now; launch the week of January 19, 2027.
The ask
A 40-minute remote conversation (inside a 60-minute block) about one real decision your colleague made: what they chose, what they ruled out, and what they would tell a peer. No product talk, no pitches, no "gotcha" questions.
Draft question arc
- Where things stand: what does AI look like in your schools right now?
- The decision: what did you choose, and what did you rule out?
- The story: one moment that changed how you think about this.
- What went wrong, or surprised you?
- Advice: one thing a peer facing the same call should do this month.
Tailored to the guest before recording; the guest sees the final questions when they book.
Before it airs
The guest, and anyone they list as an approver, gets the episode, transcript, title, description and clips at least 7 days before publishing. We fix or remove anything that misstates their work, could identify a student or colleague, or reveals security details, vendors under contract or incident specifics.
Recording and data
Recorded with the meeting platform's own recording into our Google account. Transcribed with Google Meet's built-in transcript; no third-party AI service touches it. No AI bot joins the call. Raw files are deleted 12 months after publishing and are never used for ads or AI training.
Guest terms
- Edits are for length and clarity only. We never change the meaning of what you said, and you can say "cut that" during the recording.
- You get the episode, transcript, title, notes and clips at least 7 days before publish. We fix or remove anything that misstates you, could identify a student or colleague, or reveals security details.
- You can withdraw before publishing, and we delete the recording. Corrections after publishing are made within 5 business days.
- We publish the episode and clips on Bright Learning channels. Your voice and likeness are never used in ads and never used to train AI.
- No paid placement, sponsors or co-marketing. Guests name their organization once; no offers or URLs on air; outcome claims need a public source.
- We don't broker introductions to other guests. Raw files aren't shared; finished clips are.
- Your district's or institution's own media release can replace ours, and the terms more protective of you apply.
- Bright Learning keeps final editorial control. Review is for accuracy, not messaging. No payment, sponsorship or joint promotion is exchanged.
Independence
Bright Learning is editorially independent. I also run UniqLearn, an edtech company; the show is separate, never pitches products, and nothing about guests is ever shared with UniqLearn. UniqLearn will never contact you.
